who influenced you?

who influenced you?
Why do you keep the company you keep?
Why do you listen to the kind of music you listen to? Why do you like a particular kind of food?
It is not just something you came up with or decided to do; you were influenced by something or someone. The question is who influenced you and why? Back in the bible days there were three special qualities associated with salt. First, its whiteness was associated with purity. As Christians we are called to live pure lives. Matthew 5:8 says Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. We are to be an example of purity. Second, it was used as a preservative to keep food from going bad. In the same way, the Christian's influence should protect against moral corruption. We can only do that if we ourselves are morally upright. Third, the most obvious quality of salt was that it gives flavor to bland foods -- the way Christians are to add spice to a spiritually bland world.

scars

scars
Some years ago on a hot summer day in south Florida, a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went. He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His mother in the house was looking out the window saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, she ran toward the water, yelling to her son as loudly as she could. Hearing her voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his mother. It was too late. Just as he reached her, the alligator reached him.

From the dock, the mother grabbed her little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the mother, but the mother was much too passionate to let go.

A farmer happened to drive by, heard her screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his mother's fingernails dug into his flesh in her effort to hang on to the son she loved.

The newspaper reporter, who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Mom wouldn't let go."

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, or anything quite so dramatic, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But some wounds are because God has refused to let go.

In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you. The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way.

But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril--and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins--and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not let you go.

He won't let any of us go, thank God!

How to keep your man

WHAT KEEPS A MAN.
Wives: Your husband’s greatest need is to be
respected.
If asked to choose between being
loved and being respected, your husband would
rather be respected than be loved.
 In fact when
you respect your husband he feels loved. The
best way into your husband’s heart is through
respect.
If every wicked woman knows this, one
wonders why godly women don’t get it. Have
you ever wondered why a man would leave the
comfort of his beautiful home to be with a lowly
woman in a lowly place? Respect & honor! Sadly
the same man you disrespect in your own home
is being honored and respected by other
women at work.

Ladies the devil is training the
wicked women to steal your man’s heart by
respecting and honoring them more than you
do. God knew what he was doing when he said
“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands
as you do to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:22.

 The
worst mistake you can make is allowing another
woman to make your husband smile.

Obey God
and save your marriage. Follow the divine order.
Respect your husband.

Getting the One

Getting the One

There are several things that I have learnt over time that I wish someone had told me about this receiving a mate business. No one told me, so I am going to tell you,

1) Trust God more than you trust yourself - There are so many singles who feel that if they let God in on mate selection he will make a wrong choice. Seek God's wisdom, his guidance, his will on a mate. Choose with God and not independently. In future you will have an assurance that this is the mate God had for you when troubled times come.

2) Get rid of pride and selfishness - The truth is that marriage is for both you and the person you marry, to make you both better. So if you come in with your selfish list of demands and he comes with the same, what will the outcome be? Get rid of pride. Some of the things you say you can't abide in a person are based on pride - I can't be seen with a man who does not drive, I can't be seen with a woman who does not have a perfect figure 8...huh?

3) Look beyond the superficial - It takes maturity to do this, but then again marriage is for the mature. Superficial things - those that are on the surface and easily seen, do not give the whole picture of the person. Here is a hard working, kind, loving, brother or sister who loves God and is perfect mate material but they shrub (in whatever accent) and suddenly you are like, "I can't take that one!" It's time to look at the things that really matter.

4) Be open to receive - When I got ready to receive a mate I had a policy that any guy who had the guts to approach me would get a hearing. I would be kind and gracious and listen to him, pray about it with an open mind before saying yes or no. I got a few strange ones, but that openness allowed me to meet my honey. I was open to receive.

5) Be sensitive to the Spirit - The Holy Spirit is a partner in all things, even mate selection. One time when a guy was hitting on me, before my honey came, I was so agitated in my spirit. The Holy Spirit was saying, "not that one!" He was a Pastor and he talked the talk but my spirit was not at rest with him and I could not figure out why. Later, when my honey showed up, there was peace. Just a stillness on the inside that said, "You are home!"

6) Trigger the system - They call it cybernetics. This is where one change in a system brings change to the entire system. I think that there is something in the man and woman that makes them know that this is the right person for them. They can't tell you how they know, they just know. Set off the homing beacon in you that sends out a signal to your spouse-to-be that says, "come and get it!" You do this in prayer. You make decrees and call him / her into your life. Release the person wherever they may be in the four corners of the earth to come and locate you.

7) Nest! - When I got ready to receive my honey I started nesting. I started preparing for him. I cleaned up my internal environment. I got rid of attitudes about men that needed to go. I looked in God's word for the truth and replaced any incorrect information with the right info. Selfishness had to go. Negative ideas about marriage had to go. Accumulated spiritual and soulical junk had to go. I availed myself to God to be washed and made clean with the washing of water by the Word! I readied myself to host a new arrival into my life. Both men and women need to get the environment ready for another person to come and share their life.

Saying It Isn't Enough

Saying It Isn't Enough

If I ever get weary of always trying to be available to meet the needs of others, I remind myself of all the years I lived in selfishness and how unhappy I was. Now I'm just making up for lost time! When I think on this, it doesn't take long for me to adjust my attitude. After all, just telling people "I love you" is not enough. We need to go beyond the words and actually do something to help meet their needs.
My husband, Dave, loves to play golf, so I try to make sure our schedule gives him opportunities to play. But there was a time when it angered me for him to play golf. I was miserable because I hadn't learned to adjust to his needs or desires. I wanted him to make all the adjustments.
I never acknowledged the many ways in which Dave adjusted to my needs. I never saw what he did do—only what he didn't—and it was ruining our relationship. I'm glad that I've learned to adapt and adjust. It was a little hard on me for a while, but it saved our marriage.

Once you've been reduced to love, you'll have no trouble establishing and maintaining good, healthy relationships with others. Your primary goal in life will be to put the wishes of others before your own. You'll learn that true love is all about sacrifice and selfishness will be a thing of the past.

Adapt and Adjust Love

 Adapt and Adjust Love

One of the most important facets I've learned about love is unselfishness, which is characterized in the Bible as a willingness to sacrifice one's own wishes for those of others. I've learned that true love will always adapt and adjust to the needs and desires of other people.
It's impossible for people who've truly been reduced to love to be selfish. God has taught them how to be totally adaptable and adjustable to others. Selfish people, on the other hand, have hard hearts. It's very difficult for them to learn anything—especially if it involves self-sacrifice. They expect everyone else to adjust to them and their needs. They simply don't know how to adjust to others without becoming angry or upset.

Learning to adapt and adjust to the needs and desires of others was very difficult for me. To be honest, I wanted my way, and I got upset when I didn't get it. I was selfish! I wanted what I wanted, when I wanted it! I couldn't stand having to wait on someone else or bending my own wishes to accommodate someone else's timetable.

But God began to soften my heart, and gradually I learned to see the needs of others. Then God gave me compassion—the heartfelt desire to meet the needs of others first before my own.
Slowly, I became committed to walking in love. I learned to adapt my own needs and desires in order to help meet the needs of others. I learned how to show love in different ways to different people. Not all people need the same thing from us. One of our children, for example, may need more of our personal time than the others. One of our friends may need more encouragement on a regular basis than another.

For example, all of my family members need me, my employees need me, my friends need me—and they all need me in different ways.
Do I ever feel too needed? Of course! We all feel overwhelmed from time to time. But I remind myself that God gives me grace for whatever He places in my life, and I'm fortunate to be loved and needed by so many.

Finding Fulfillment in My Life

Finding Fulfillment in My Life- through learning

No matter how long you may live, you'll never stop learning. Every minute of every day brings new opportunities to learn something we've never known before. As long as we're open to receive, God will continue to teach us every day.

I'm still learning, and I know I always will be. What God teaches me every day about love continues to change my life. I've come to the place where I can honestly say, "Lord, eliminate everything in my life that's holding me back. Please take away anything that's keeping me from walking in love and finding true fulfillment in my life." In other words, "Lord, reduce me to love—bring me to a state or condition of walking in love completely!"

Why do you go to Church

The church up the hill got a new young pastor from the city. On Sunday morning the church was full to capacity everybody eager to hear the young pastors sermon. The pastor preached an inspiring powerful message on loving one another and most of the congregation loved it. The general consensus was that he was a good preacher.

The next Sunday, the church was full to capacity everyone eager to hear what the pastor would preach on. To the amazement of the congregation, the pastor preached the same sermon he had preached the week before word for word. On the third Sunday the same thing happened and the people were deeply concerned.
One of the church deacons gathered up courage and asked the pastor the question that was on everybody's lips. "Why is it that you keep preaching the same message every Sunday? Don't you have any other message you can preach?" he asked. The young pastor replied, "Why should I preach another message when we have not acted on the one that has been preached?"
I am often amazed how people can tell you the sermon was powerful and anointed yet the very next day they can hardly remember what the sermon what about. What did the pastor preach about in church this past Sunday and what have you done about it? Was it just another good sermon? Many of us take notes in church every Sunday yet we hardly go back to refer to them. What is the use of writing them?

Why go to church if Sunday after Sunday you do not apply what you are being taught and you keep saying the message blessed you? How did it bless you? What would you think of your child if they never took seriously what they were taught in school? What would you say to them if you found out they never implemented what they were taught in school on a daily basis? I am sure you would give them a piece of your mind.
Well what about you and church? Have you done the last thing that Jesus told you to do? I have learned that maturity does not come with memorising scripture only. You have to go the extra step of actually implementing what it says. Have you ever asked yourself why you go to church?

Have you asked yourself if you really believe what is preached in the house of God? If you believe then, have you ever asked yourself why you do not implement to the letter what has been preached? May we arise and become doers of the word because only then will we see the power of God become reality in our lives each and every day.

Bedbugs in my Navel

Bedbugs in my Navel

Synoipsis
Bed Bugs in my Navel is a story of Cyrus a graduate working in he office of mjengo , a common hustler life contrasted to the high profile hustler like DP Ruto. The story is shared with a house mate who frequently exiles cyrus but are united in fighting bed bugs. Enjoy reading

To this, day Cyrus still calls himself a graduate with a first class honors despite the working conditions at the Office of Mjengo. He has refused to accept a name that his colleagues have adopted, hustler. This name has been adopted by many in his friends’ network and even in by senior government officials such as the Vice President William S. Ruto. Cyrus and his friends have been mocked severally by those who work in the Office of Prime Minister. This office has adopted another name, Sufferer. Although the difference between hustler and sufferer is too minute, suffer seems to be doing well in the struggle for survival.  Cyrus once said that he would rather be a hustler. In his view hustling is aimed at becoming better while suffering allows one to be comfortable at the face of problems. Cyrus believes that he is neither a hustler nor a sufferer. He calls himself a human being who will become successful in the days to come.
Cyrus is more concerned with his character as a human being rather than his reputation as a hustlesufferer.  This is because his character forms who he really is, while his reputation is merely what others think of him. To him, reputation is just an estimation, which his comrades generally hold about him. He is focused on his way of thinking, feelings and his behaviors. Unlike his workmates, Cyrus has refused to think or even live the way he was supposed to live as a Mjengo man, he had chosento behave like a person he ought to be, who he really was, a graduate. This made him stand out among his fellow workers as he perfomed his duties with diligence and came out as a graduate in Mjengo work too. Only that there was no scale that could be used to rate his Mjengo work as first class upper or lower. Out of his outstanding performance, the construction manager got fond of him more than the fore man. This made him miss out work whenever the manager was not visiting the site.
When out of the Office, Cyrus was organizing his small income so that he could start a small hawking business whenever he was out of work. This was different from hustlesuffers who take up drinking, chewing muguka or just being at base. Cyrus used to sell what was needed such as umbrellas, caps on rainy and sunny days respectively. He would sell anything just to keep his small hawking business going. When his thinking was loud, Cyrus used to say,
“One day am going to be big, either through business or a big job with an income that does not allow me to only live, but will be able to support my lifestyle. To me the means of doing Mjengo work and hawking justifies the big end that I will be having. I also believe that am going to be the head and not the tail. Above all, I know that one day God will raise me from the cement dust  and make me seat in a table among the high in the society. All these I believe will come very soon, I just have to do my best in these responsibilities and bigger ones are going to be entrusted to me.”
Cyrus was keeping his words, “Reputation is what you have when you come to a new community while character is what you have when you go away .I will leave a good reputation in the few days I will be a hustlesuffferer, before joining the International community as a diplomat.” In addition, Cyrus was keeping his word on making his life better each day, week, month and year. In this New Year 2014, Cyrus had purposed to improve his life by moving into a bedsitter in Zimmerman together with his friend Otero. Although he never shared the same principles with him, Otero was a diploma holder and he was also the store manager. Unlike other hustlesufferers, he was able to raise Kshs three thousands to cater for house rent after drinking. Most of hustlesufferers he used to work with would consume the weekly pay with girlfriends and on Monday they would be too broke to treat the hangover. So the nearby Swts Wine and Spirits would give them an advance ya kutoa lock (remove hangover).
Otero hated being broke. He used to save some of his pay and just drink beer to celebrate his work and to thank himself for surviving the week.  From his savings, Oterorist as they used to call him, he was also to raise an extra two thousands for shopping. This made their lives better since they were able to cook in the house and remain healthy. The other hustlesufferers would skip supper; get breakfast from pombe Na maroho (Wine and spirits) in order to survive the day. Later the foreman would cater the half cost of lunch so that the workers would only take thirty minutes instead of one hour for lunch.  Despite being able to deal with hunger and privacy, Oterorist and Cyrus had another problem. This problem would affect Cyrus more since he spent more time in the house writing applications, planning his life or just relaxing in the house. Oterorist was outgoing, most of the time he was out of the house unless when he had given Cyrus an exile. At this time, Oterorist would invite his galfriend in the house. This made him to easily ignore bedbugs their other companions.
Kama used to blame Oterorist for the bedbugs; he accused him of bringing them from his friends’ house in Githurai. However, Otero had an embarrassing answer to his accusations. According to Oterorist, his friend used to wet his bed, his urine had high content of spirits and had a bad odour that would always chase the bedbugs away. The spirits were believed to kill all insects and worms that came across it even in the stomach. Among the hustlers, Spirits were used to cure stomach and chest problems due to their strong medicinal value.
These two house mates used to sleep in their original suits to avoid habouring bedbugs in other clothing. In spite of this, bed bugs used to hide in the navel, ears and any other place they would find a cover. The bedbugs’ problem in Zimmerman and Githurai had also been reported in the area County Representative office but no action had been taken yet. Some time back the same problem was in the daily papers after students in Kenyatta University had threatened to strike due the increased numbers of bedbugs in their hostels. At the moment Cyrus thought spirits in the urine was not the best pesticide for bedbugs, he was of the idea of using some of the chemicals used in KU to permanently terrorize bedbugs.
Apart from chemicals and urine, the duo had received many other suggestions that they would use to curb bedbugs including using petrol, diesel and kerosene. Spraying all these only multiplied the population of bed bugs. On the other hand, the option of spraying Spirits directly was highly opposed by Oterorist and other hustlesufferes for the reason that these would enrage the ancestors. The wamunyota (thirsty ones) such as Oterorist opted to take the spirits for free and sell their urine to the troubled Cyrus.
Every time they sprayed , Cyrus used to be optimistc that the bedbugs nightmare was over. On the other hand, Oerorist used to be pesmistic, “Like Jesus these bedbugs have a way of resurrecting. When we spray they pretend to be dead and after a few days they come back fatter. I wonder what they eat when they are temporalily dead.”
“I also do not know what they eat because when I kill a resurrected  fat bed bug, it has a black residue unlike the usual ones that have blood and a bad smell.” Cyrus would respond.
“The bad smell is a defense. I think the smell alerts the rest of bedbugs that there is danger. Just like a cat that pretends to be dead when hit hard to avoid being killed, the bed bugs lie flat with their legs up. Am told they do these to release eggs like us human beings…….” Oterorist never finished these kind of sentences.
“The common thing between a cat and a bed bugs is that these two are the hardest to kill. Their spirits are very strong. So I think we should get the free spirited urine. But on a second though, mens urine on my mattress is impossible. It is Cyrus’s bed you are talking about ! ”
Cyrus decided to start a research on the source of the bed bugs that had found a home and food in his body. The house was not infected in the view of the fact that the first few months they used to sleep on the floor; the bed bugs were nowhere to be seen. After further research, Oterorist established that the second hand shop had lots of bed bugs. It was believed that people used to get rid of their beds and mattresses at a throw away price once they found out that they were infected by the bedbugs. For these reason, the second had shop was the origin of bed bugs in Cyrus’s house. Oterorist made a conclusion that they were not going to buy other beddings such as blankets that were being sold from the same shop. This was against Cyrus’s proposition of purchasing blankets at the end of the month.
Adding spirituality into the bargain of the origin of Cyrus’s bedbugs made him to start praying that God will take poverty away from him. The findings on these cause dictated that bed bugs are an indication of poverty, in these case it was true given that the only asset that Cyrus had was his unused degree. From the time that Kama and Oterorist realized the existence of bed bugs in their bed, it changed from an asset to a liability that was costing them every now and then. To meet the frequent cost of the discomfort caused by the bed bugs, they reduced the food budget in order to buy anything that would kill bed bugs only that they completely refused the free offer of urine. Even if the bed bugs were not poisonous, their implications were straining their pockets, image, character and food.
At the Office of Mjengo the situation was getting worse. The manager had ordered Cyrus to be a permanent casual worker. This was bad news to the foreman and he had to create a different predicament for Cyrus. The foreman was complaining that Cyrus was having a go slow since every now and then he would stop working to either scratch or remove his shirt in order to kill the bed bug that kept on biting him without any intervals. Although the foreman did not come up with the bedbugs, had managed to magnify them to a calamity. Cyrus’s performance at work had reduced drastically since he moved to a bedsitter in Zimmerman. The foreman had issued a threat to fire him if he did not comply with the Office of Mjengo resolution on bed bags. This resolution required that all the workers from Zimmerman to come thirty minutes earlier so as to get ample time to smoke their clothes. Cyrus refused to comply since he was not ready to smoke his trousers and shirt, the ones he was likely to wear for an interview. He preferred to hang them on the fence where the sun will heat the bed bugs till death.
On the other  hand, government offered bed bug repellant  through the county government, since the struggle against bedbugs had increased after the awareness created by the county representative in Zimmer and Githurai. Using bed bug repellant  the county government was able to cater for the rights to life for both  hustlesufferers and the bedbugs. Other than using chemicals that would kill bed bugs and put into high risk the human lives. Using the bedbugs repellant, Cyrus was able to protect all his body parts but the bed bugs were smarter than him, they continued to hide in his navel, nose and mouth among other places that the bed bug repellant could not reach.  Cyrus other using his degree, he found enough security while sleeping next to Oterorist at his bedsitter in Zimmerman while bedbugs had used his body for their security and comfort.

SEWAGE IN HERE

SEWAGE IN HERE
Even if am a young girl, I dream of going to the ministry of Housing. I want to present a list to them. The two issues in my list have made it more of a scroll, but I only have two requests to make to the ministry. First I will be humbled to know the requirements of getting my mortgage. Secondly I will request for the process used to report the dark green sewage inside our plot. These must done with courage not in coldness and in boldness not in bitterness.
I am glad that the receptionist did not ask me about my parents when I reported. Things changed when I wanted to tell him about the diseases that are catching up with us. He went inside and came out not in the suit he was in. Even before he got to me I knew that he had changed and he was not going to waste his time with my nonsense. May be he sent me away because my problem has been too big for him just like the cap he was putting on.  I am not sure if I was too small for my problems like his feet in the boots.
I picked a stick which was almost the same size as the rod he held. He looked like he was sure of the people he was going to beat while I was not sure of the people or even where to begin. I wanted to beat people. They were so many; agent, landlord, my parents, local health officer. Was it an officer in this ministry who never got the chance to even hear me out? It seems like I went there too early, it's just that my story kept him busy for the time he had before his shift started.
Security for my mortgage is the fact that I am in school. This is a good one because I will get a job once am done with school. Me being me, I am bound to get a well paying job and clear the mortgage. Without any doubt I am so delighted to report my agent not my landlord. At least am done with the delicate duty that will affect my life for a long duration. The one reason why I decided to do all these is that no else was doing it. Every other person got used to eat and they thought that I was proud because after all these years I felt like the situation of our plot could still change. Let's say I had not given up like them. On my side as much as I do not want to blame them, my argument is that they have allowed ignorance to take the best part of their life. I am just acting against ignorance.
In the morning I decided to walk in the dark green carpet because I expected to walk on a red carpet in the highest corridors of the ministry of housing. I bet they must be having the best of the carpets around as an example of carpets to be in the houses that the ministry covers. I wished to walk on these red carpets but I wished to walk on the blue carpet like the one Meryl Streep walked on  during the celebration of  her acting as Margaret Thatcher. I wanted to walk on a blue carpet at home too. May be some clean, nice smelling warm water reflecting the skies right at the centre of our plot and replace the odours dark green sewage.
I think I deserve to walk on a red carpet after this visit since am acting like a rich responsible grown up. But I have an idea of what I will get at home when I get back just a little bit of more problems. Lets say I will have to walk in the cold cold dark green carpet and it's going to be at a higher level because there was more rain. In addition, I know that there will be darkness since electricity goes away when the rains come in. I must survive this one too just like the others. I must continue being the iron girl not thriving on blood and fresh but on strong will.
One trouble leads to another so the toilet will join the league and block too and that will be more nasty on top of the dark green waters, but it will only turn to be coloured water. It is going to get more coloured when we start washing utensils and clothes. That makes me think it's better to stay without food. Either way the stomach is always full of bad smells. The next trouble that comes around is when the bathroom blocks. That means that you have to fully accept the sewage since you can't get if off your body using clean water. By any chance if you shower in the house it means that you want to extend the dark green carpet into the house before that trouble matures.
Our neighbours are forced to share our fate, although they don’t have the green carpet they don’t have fresh air anymore. We have extended the stench to them. In return, they reward us with all kinds of papers. Let's say the ten floors make our green carpet a dust bin and there is no way to empty the bin. Sometimes I think that they are doing us a favour by covering the dark green carpet.
I think that I can take an aerial picture of our plot in my mind; a thin line of stones that are separated from each other with all kinds of papers including sanitary pads and their colourful covers. This is the picture that those living up there see when they look at us. They don’t know that these stones are the bridge in these shallow waters of our plot. I got to know the importance of these stones when I missed the one at the entrance of our house. That day I went to bed as a sad iron girl because I was not only looking at the dark green sewage, I had felt it too on my feet. The smell, the look and the feeling of sewage on my feet was the last drive I needed in order to pay the Ministry a visit. This was the night before my visit to the Ministry of housing. I planned to wake up as early as five o’clock.
At this time the walkers would be many on the small footpath so I had to join the vehicles on the road to town. If I competed well with these road users and beat the traffic, I will get to town by seven o’clock just like the passengers. My spray was handy incase another stench caught up with me on top of the one I brought from home There is something that I had to do in order to look like I had alighted from a vehicle. I need to wipe my legs and oil them just to erase any evidence of walking. Uhuru park was a nice venue for freshening up it was nearer to the place I was going. Thus, I would get there before eight o’clock. After all that I was ready to be served without any bias. On the outside I had attained a common look that justifies me as a Nairobian but inside I lied a whole new person. As at this day it was only the ministry that had the right to interact with the real me without a cover up.
Eventually I woke up a bit, but I woke up like a person who had wet her bed. There were round punches of wetness on my back. they were clearly demarcated by  rings of dirt As I strained to open my eyes a cold drop of water. It was only after wiping my eye that I got to look up and clear mind. It was clear that I did not wet my bed, but there was a big hole on the roof. This particular hole allowed me to share my bed with the waters of the skies. I looked down and I dint understand what I saw. I was not able to see the floor. This made me develop certain fears. There was room for other possibilities and my fears were not real. These fears became reality when I stepped on the dark green carpet that had spread everywhere and accumulated large volumes under my bed. It was time to save the little that could be saved. It was not time to go and narrate my story again just to seek permission from the watchman. A better idea came into mind, it was better to do a Harambee and raise money to buy an apartment instead of  taking up a mortgage.
Even if I was not going to the ministry, I had to go out of the house. I was not emotionally stable to interact with the fieces that were knocking on my door too It was easy to clean the dark green sewage than it was to clean fieces from onces feet.
