"The first duty of a woman, any woman, is to get a husband. This is the first qualification of a woman. If she fails to get a husband, she has failed her first examination and she is not worthy to represent anybody (in parliament)..." Eliud Ngala Mwendwa, Kenya's Minister for Labour making his contribution in 1966 during a parliamentary debate that called for women to be given special means to enter parliament.
If I was around I would have asked this man some questions This is soo bad .... you have daughters is this the standard you want people to use to judge them. Is this what you want for your sisters, nieces and other women around you?
Women are leaders, great leaders in themselves.
Gathenya James Munyori Leadership and marriage are different institutions.
A marriage is a blessing from God , it’s a gift to men and women and men and should not be used to Judge anyone.
Women married or not deserve to be in positions of power in Paliament and outside because they are human being and above all they are children of God.
Viva women viva! Viva men Viva!
