REPRESENTATION OF
YOUNG WOMEN AGED 20-35 YEARS
I
have involved in personal development projects aimed at representing young
women and teenage mothers in legislative and civic processes. My interest in
submitting this request create awareness of existing representation gap for
Kenyan women aged 20-25-35 and teenage mothers who do not 'fit as youths' for
being mothers and who are looked down by older women.
These
group has been sideline and are not involved in entrepreneurship or empowerment
programs despite the many challenges hat they face including;
1.
Unemployment
2.
Marital Abuse
3.

The
possible interventions for this group include
1.
Civic Education
2.
Economic Empowerment
3.
Capacity Building Trainings
4.
Counselling
5.
Family Planning
6.
Creation of specific employment
offportunities
7.
Representation of these group

look forward to participation in the stakeholders’ forum.
