Practice What You Preach

Practice What You Preach
A preacher got on a bus and discovered he had been given too much change. When he was getting off the bus, he told the bus driver who replied, "I know". "Why did you give me too much?" asked the preacher. "I was in church yesterday and heard you preach," replied the driver. "I wanted to see if you were worth listening to."

How much do you know? Have you ever been around people who know alot and you are mesmerized by their knowledge? Knowing is one thing but without application then what you know will not be beneficial to you.

The bible says you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free. It is only able to do that once we apply it and walk in it.

Your habits and actions will reveal to you what you really believe and not your words or knowledge. The bible says knowledge puffs up, you may know lots of scriptures but how many of them are you actually applying in your life?

Every Sunday we go to church and we are taught from the word of God it is only when we begin to apply the word we are taught from the tiny things like what the pastor in our story was faced with to what we consider the large things that we find growth and stability in our walk with God.

Don't ignore anything, be faithful especially in the small things because this forms the foundation for you to be faithful when the big things come.

1 Corinthians 9:27
But I keep control of my body, and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
