WHY FEMINISM?by James Gikonyo (Guest Writer )

It is the21st Century in most societies, women are being empowered greatly-no

man has stood up against that. The Gender Agenda is something that men have

supported in this struggle for equality; infact, some of these programmes would

not be running if men did not come in. Do not get me wrong, women alone can do

something but ain’t the battle of the sexes causing more harm than good? I for

one am a conservative feminist; I understand what women go through-not

because I have never been one but simply because everywhere I turn, there is a

woman next to me. Shall we start with my own mother, two sisters, cousins,

neighbours, girlfriend ad even colleagues? How does male chauvinism make them

feel? That of a stereotyped society that feels that some rights should not be given

to women. Why not give women education? Why strip them because they wear

what they feel comfortable in? Why not look for a wife? Why not share domestic

roles? In fact I find it inhuman how men reason that a real man should NOT argue

with a woman. This is a barbaric culture! Don’t women have same brains as us?

This is why feminism is there; simply because men are using patriarchal nature to

discriminate and decrease the worth of their fellow sisters. I find it very

revulsing, utterly foolish and awkwardly backward. As much as equality is

subjective, men and women should enjoy equal privileges. This does not also mean

these extriminists under the umbrella of feminism treat men like world animals.

Though I think fairness is more important than weighing the balance on rights. I

pray one day women will feel not only proud of their identity but free of the bonds

of discrimination. No doctrine ever said women SHOULD NOT RULE. Just a

thought. My regards

RIWAYA YA MWISHO WA KOSA
Utangulizi
Riwaya ya Mwisho wa kosa imeandikwa na Z. Burhani.Ilichapishwa mwaka wa 1987 na Longhorn Publishers (k) Ltd.
Anwani
Anwani huwa ni jina la kitabu. Mwandishi amefaulu kutumia anwani’Mwisho wa kosa ’. Anwani hii inaashiria Mwisho wa Makosa ya Monika hasa kwa wazazi wake. Pia anwani hii inaashiria  mwisho wa kosa la Ali na jinsi anavyopata kazi hata baada ya kufukuzwa chuoni.Pia ni Mwisho wa Kosa la Rashid la kuishi na Monika na pia ufisadi wake.
Jalada
Jalada ni karatasi ngumu inayofunika kitabu ambapo jina la kitabu huandikwa.Katika riwaya hii kuna picha ya watu wengi.Kuna wenye suti ambao huenda ni mawaziri Matata na Selemani au Rashid. Kuna picha ya ndege kuashiria ndege ambayo Monika alisafiri nayo kwenda ng’ambo.Pia kuna picha ya seremara. Kuna pesa ambazo zinapewa mkono wa mtu kuashiria ufisadi wa Rashid na wengine.Kuna picha ya nyumba za kijiji huenda ni pale kijijini kwa kina Monika.
Dhamira ya mwandishi
Dhamira ni kiini cha jambo au habari iliyoandikwa na mwandishi.Katika Riwaya hii mwandishi ananuia kutuonyesha athari za masomo ya ulaya na kwingineko.Amemtumia Monika kuonyesha jinsi elimu inavyombadilisha mtu.
Hivyo lengo kuu la mwandishi ni kuonyesha kukengeuka .
Manthari
Ni mahali au mazingira yanayotumika katika kitabu. Mazingira ya kawaida yametumika katika riwaya hii.Kuna mazingira ya kinyumbani kama vile nyumbani kwa Mhaji na Nyumbani kwa Selele uk 12.Kuna mazingira ya  uwanja wa ndege,ofisi na kadhalika.
                                                                                        
PLOTI
Huwa ni mtiririko wa matukio katika kitabu.Riwaya hii ina sura Kumi. Maelezo ya sura hizo ni kama ifuatavyo.
Sura 1
Monika anarejea kutoka ulaya alikokwenda kusoma. Waliokwenda kumlaki wanaonyeshwa dharau pale uwanja wa ndege.Tunaelezwa kuhusu kesi ya Asha na Bi keti  amabapo katika Uk 29 Keti anakamatwa na polisi na kesi yao kuanza.
Monika wanazozana na keti kuhusu uji.
Sura 2
Tunaelezwa mpango wa wazazi wa Ali juu ya ndoa ya Ali na Zabara uk 54.Tunaelezwa jinsi ndugu na dadake zake Ali wanavyosumbuliwa na wasichana pale kijijini.
 Sura ya 3
Monika na Muna wanakutana.Hawa ni wasichana wawili ambao wamesoma.Uk 55  kuna mazungumzo kati ya monika na Muna ambapo Monika anamuuliza Muna maswali juu ya ndoa yake.
Ugomvi baina ya Monika na Babake. Na Monika anaondoka kwao.Pia kuna ugomvi kati ya  Rashid na Monika wanapoishi pamoja.
Sura ya 4
Katika hii sura maudhui ya ufisadi yanajitokeza. Ufisadi kati ya Rashid na Alison.Ambapo Alison anapata kandarasi .Pia Mheshimiwa anataka kumhonga Rashid ili apate kandarasi pia.Tunaelezwa Kazi ya Rashid katika ofisi yake.
Sura ya 5
Monika anakutana na Mheshimiwa Selemani na kuuelewa unafiki wa Juma.
Tunaelezwa jinsi masomo ya Ali na jinsi madawaya kulevya yalimfanya afukuzwe shule.Uk 121 kuna barua ya kufukuzwa kwa Ali kutoka chuo kikuu.
Sura ya 6
Rashid anaenda kwa Saidi kupata ushauri,anahisi kuwa alikosea kwa kushiriki  ufisadi.Mhaji anamtemebelea Selele  na kumuomba amzungumzie Monika na amsaidie Monika kama mwanawe.Mhaji anataka monika aunganishwe na familia yake.
Sura ya 7
Karne anamsaidia Ali katika kazi yake mpya. Karne anaeleza kosa la shilingi 17,000 badala ya shilingi 1700.Hii ni hadithi ndani ya riwaya.
Kuna maelezo juu ya ugomvi wa Muna na Hasani katika ndoa yao mabayo in matatizo mengi mno.
Sura ya 8
Ali anapata kazi mpya ofisini kwa Alison. Waziri Salimu anashindikizwa kumfuta kazi Rashid.Baadaye  Rashid anapata kazi katika kampuni ya Alison.
Uk 199 Monika anahama kwa Rashid  na kwenda kwa nyumba mypa aliyopewa ma Matata. Kuna ugomvi kati ya Matata na selemani kuhusu Monika.
Sura ya 9
Ndoa ya Hasani na Muna ambayo imejaa ugomvi inavunjika na Muna kurudi kwao.
Sura ya 10
Matata namuacha Monika na Kuoa msichana mwingine.Monika anarejea kwao na kuolewa na Shabani.Ali na Sara wanapata kujuana na Kupanga kuoana. Riwaya inakamilka kwa sherehe nyumbani kwa Selele.Rashid anakuja na Salama,Monika na Shabani, Muna na Hasani.







WAHUSIKA
Wahusika ni viumbe walio katika kitabu.Katika Mwisho wa Kosa wahusika ni binadamu wa kawaida na wanaendeleza shughuli za kawaida za kila siku za binadamu.Riwaya hii ina Wahusika wengi kama vile.Ali,Saidi na Selemani.

Mhusika mkuu ni Monika .Ni Mjeuri uk 13 keti anajilaumu kwa kumpiga monika ,alielewa kuwa kwa desturi maneno na jeuri ya Monika yasingemshughulisha. Ni mwenye dharau hasa kwa Keti. Amekengeuka na ni mwenye tamaa ya mali kwani anafuatana na wanaume ili apate pesa na abebwe  kwa magari ya kifahari. Alisoma  huko ulaya.
Uk 89 ni mpenda anasa tokea siku ile Monika alipokutana na Juma, alikuwa kila siku yuko safarini.

Asha  ni mwenye wivu na Mgomvi.Uk 26 anamfanya Keti akamatwe na polisi.Anasema uongo kuhusu Keti.
Muna ni mpole, mvumilivi,mwenye heshima na mwenye bidii.Aawaheshimu wazazi wake na mumewe. Ana uhuru na amejikomboa kutoka kwa utamaduni.Uk 243 tunaelezwa jinsi alivyotoka kwa mumewe baada ya kugombana naye. Anapenda kusoma.

Rashid ni msomi,Mfisadi.Ameshindwa kumfukuza Monika kwake.Ana heshima kwa wazee kama vile Selele na Keti ambao wanamshauri.
Salama ni mpole na rafiki ya Monika.Anaposwa na Rashid na mwishowe wanaoana. Ni mvumilivu kwani alimsubiri Rashid kwa muda mrefu baada ya posa lake.

Hasani ni mkatili hamsaidi bibi yake,anamkataza kutoka na kumgombeza.Ni mchoyo na mwenye wivu.Hana utu na ni mgomvi sana.
Matata ni mnafiki anamdanganya Monika kuwa atamuoa lakini mwishowe anamtoroka.Anamwonea Rashid wivu na kufanya afutwe kazi.
Alison ni mfisadi na mwenye utu.Anawaajiri Ali na Rashid.
Selele  ni mzee mwenye nasaha.Anaunganisha familia ya Mhaji.Ni mkarimu na mwenya utu.
Mhaji ni mlezi bora anampenda mwanawe.Una utu na anashirikiana na jamii.

MBINU ZA UANDISHI NA ZA LUGHA
Kejeli uk 12 Bi Keti anamwita Monika bi mzungu” Naye bi mzungu huko ulaya aloko kwanda….Kejeli hii inaendeleza maudhui ya ukenegeuko na ujeuri .
Uk 252 Monika anawaambia wafanya kazi , watamuona atakapokuwa mke wa waziri…ndio mke wa waziri .wanamcheka baadaye mwenzake anamwambia  kuwaMwajiri wao Mheshimiwa Matata anapanga Harusi na msichana mwingine.
Matumizi ya Ndoto uk 82 Rasid aliota kwamba yoko Mahakamani kama ameshatakiwa kwa kosa la uhaini na yeye akijaribu kujitetea kwa nguvu zake zote….Ndoto hii inatuonyesha wasiwasi kwa Rashid. Ndoto hii inaonyesha hofu ya Rashid.
 Barua
uk 118 Barua ya kufukuzwa shule kwa Ali.Mzee Bushiri anaelezwa ni kwa nini mwanawe amefukuzwa shule.uk 215 barua ya Ali kutoka ka J.R Alison ya kumpa kazi.Ali anapata kati katika kampuni ya AlisonUk 227 Salama anamtumia Barua Rashid na kumueleza juu ya ndoa yao.Salama anamwondolea Rashid jukumu la posa iliyotolewa na wazazi wao wangali wadogo.Anamwambia si lazima wafuate hayo.
Dialojia Riwaya hii imetawaliwa na dayalojia mabayo inasaidia kuendeleza ploti.Ni kupitia mazungumzo baina ya wahusika tunapa kuenedeleza maudhui ya unafiki ,ufisadi na malezi mema.
Taswira. Uk 10 tunapa picha ya mahali Amina nduguye monika aliendea uji.Pia kuna taswira ya jinsi Monika na keti wanavyopigana.
Kuchanganya ndimi.Uk 60 maneno ya kizungu yanatumika Msimbiji Street na Zambia avenue.Uk 176 kuna matumizi ya jina metropolitan
Sadfa  uk 102 Wakati wa mapumziko Monika altembea kwenda madukani kununua viatu.Alikuwa amechoka na alitama Juma angembeba kwa gari lake. Monika alijifuta jasho usoni na kisadfa Monika aliliona gari la juma kwa upande Mwingine.
Methali uk182 Selele  anawaeleza wageni wake kuhusu suala la masomo na ustaarabu. Akili huja kwa maarifa.Methali zingine ziko katika kurasa zifuatazo.13,na 126.

Tashbihi ni ulinganisho wa moja kwa moja wa vitu au watu na wanyama. Mfano uk 34 Monika amekuwa kama sahani ya santuri ambayo imekwarizika.Hayaelewi maisha yake.amekengeuka sana. Tashbihi zingine ziko katika kurasa zifuatazo.112 na 26.
Semi Muna anamwona minika kama asiye na uwezo wa  kuona mbele wala nyuma.Akili yake imepoteza mizani na kusahau thamani ya yale yake na kutaka kutabaka yaw engine.Uk 34
Utohozi Uk 120 baba ya Ali alikuwaakisikiliza redio.(radio)Hili ni jina la kiingereza ambalo limeswahiliswa,utohozi mwingine unapatikana uk179 na 52.
Tashhisi uk111 Akili ya ali inapewa uwezo wa kuchoka,kupumzika,kujikusanyia nishati na kuweza kuendelea na kazi zake.Tashhisi zingine zinapatikana katika kurasa zifuatazo, 13, 105, 118, 164 na 203
MAUDHUI
Mambo muhimu yanayoelezwa katika tamthilia.Katika riway hii mauthui muhimu ni yaUkengeuko.katika ukengeuko kuna maswala kama vile utamaduni,elimu, malezi na mahusiano ya kijamii.Maudhui haya yanaweza kuelezwa kama ifuatavyo;

Mkengeuko
Wakati Monika anaporejea kutoka ulaya anakataa kuwajulia hali waliokuja Kumpokea  pale uwanja wa ndege.Hii si kawaida kwani watu hao walimsherekea kwa nyimbo lakini yeye anaonyesha dharau kwao.

Uk10 Monika anasema kuwa uji wa bi keti na samaki wa kukaanga ni chakula kichafu na kinaweza kusababisha magonjwa.Kulingana na Bi Keti ni ji huu ndio uliomlea yeye.Hivyo mbona hukumletea magonjwa wakati alipokuwa akiunywa
Uk 60 Monika anahama kwao na kwenda mjini kuishi na Rashid.Hii si kawaida katika utamaduni wao.Msichana anafaa kuhama kwao akienda kwa mume wake.

Uk 58  Monika anamwona Salama kama mjinga,Hakusoma na si mrembo hii ni athari ya ulaya kwani kabla ya monika kwenda Ulaya walikuwa marafiki wa dhati na salama.
Uk 76 Monika anakwenda dansi na kuridei saa tisa kasorobo usiku.

Utamaduni
Utamaduni ni mila,asili, jadi na desturi za kundi la jamii Fulani.
Mfano katika jamii ya Mwisho wa Kosa kuna tamaduni ya kupeleka posa kwa wazazi wa msichana kutoka kwa wazazi wa mvulana.Kuna pia harusi ambazo zinafuata tamaduni.

Mhusika Monika anakiuka tamaduni sana. Mfano Uk 60 Monika anahama kwao na kwenda mjini kuishi na Rashid.Hii si kawaida ya wasichana,kwani mtu anafaa kutoka kwao akienda kuishi na mume wake.

Ndoa ya Muna na Hasani ni mfano mwema wa ndoa za kitamaduni. Hata hivyo Muna anajikomboa na tamaduni hizi, kiasi cha kwamba Hasani analalamika kuwa Muna hamtumikii mumewe.Mamake Muna anamshauri jinsi ya kumtunza mume na kumfurahisha.Hata hivyo Muna anafuata usasa na kushiriki mambo amabayo yametengewa wanaume na utamaduni ama vile siasa.

Katika ukurasa wa 76 Monika anakwenda dansi na kurudi saa tisa kasorobo usiku.Hii si kawaida ya wanawake.Kulingana na tamaduni tabia za kutafuta anasa kama hizi ni kukosa maadili.
Mavazi ya Monika ni tofauti, anavaa surualili ilihili anafaa kujifunga kanga kama wanawake wengine.
Monika pia hali chakula cha jamii yake anasema ni kichafu.uk 13

Ushirikiano wa jamii
Katika jamii ya pale kijijini kuna ushirikiano wa hali ya juu.Uk Mhaji anamsaidia Keti Kutafuta pesa shilingi elfu tano.Hii ni baada ya yeye kukamatwa na polisi juu ya kesi yake na Asha.Mhaji wanamsaidia kwani ni mmoja wao.

Katika ri waya hii tunapata mahusiana mengi ya kijamii mfano, uk 57  Monika alikuwa amevunja ujirani,undugu na hisiani baina yao na Bi Riziki.Ni jamii ambayo imejikita katika kusaidiana na kushauriana na kuwatoa wenzao walio kwa matatizo.

Ndoa na mapenzi
Uk 217 Ndoa ya Muna na Hasani ilijaa ugomvi kwani Hasani hakutaka Muna atoke, avae vizuri au asome na hatoi pesa za matumizi.
Kuna ndoa ya Rashid na Salama,Ali na Sara Monika naShabani.
Ndoa zinazoonekana kama zimefaulu ni zile za wazazi wa Monika,Muna na Ali.

Unafiki
Hii ni hali ya kujifanya juwa ni rafiki ilihali ni adui. Hali ya kutokuwa mkweli. Mfano uk 102-104 Monika Alielezwa na Mheshimiwa Selemani waziri wa Kilimo kuwa Juma alikuwa tu dereva wake na hakufanya kazi Wizara ya Biashara. Juma ni mnafiki kwani alikuwa amemdanganya Monika.
Unafiki mwingine unahusisha Mheshimiwa Matata ambaye alimdanganya Monika kuwa atamuoa lakini anafanya harusi na msichana mwingine.
Urafiki
 Rafiki ni mtu anayependana na kuaminiana na mwingine..Katika riwaya hii kuna marafiki wa dhati ambao wanafaana sana. Mfano Bi riziki na Bi Tatu  na Keti na Mariyamu
Kuna marafiki ambao ni wadanganyifu.Mfano  uk 56 tunaelezwa kuwa urafiki baina ya Salama ulikuwa unafifia baada ya Monika kuanza kuishi na Rashid ambaye alikuwa amemposa Salama.

Pia katika uk55 Muna na Monika walikuwa marafiki lakini kukengeuka kwa Monika kunawatenganisha.Uk 34 tunawaona  Muna na Monika  ambapo Muna anoona monika kama sahani ya santuri iliyokwaruzika na sindano yake kukwama mahali.

Malezi mema
Katika riwaya hii wazazi wanawapa watoto wao malezi mema.Mfano Uk 97 Roho ya Bi inaaza kuwa na hofu na wasiwasi kwa kuwa hakupa habarizozote kuhusu Monika.Hii inaonyesha kuwa bado alikuwa na mapenzi kwa mwanawe. Pia Monika anaporejea kwao Mhaji anamtafutia mume .

Katika Uk 134 keti anamshauri Rashid jinsi la kutatua ‘tatizo la Monika.’Si kukuita kuja kukulaumu …kama unavyojua sisi ni wazee na wajibu weyu ni kuwaongoza watao wetu hasa tunapoona maisha yao yanaenda kombo’.

Ufisadi
Katika riwaya hii watu wanaojihusisha na mambo ya ufisadi ni Alison, Mheshimiwa.
Alison anamhonga Rashid ili apate kandarasi na wizara.
Uchunguzi wa Rashid anapofutwa Kazi.Msichana ambaya anatembea katika nchi mbalimbali.Msichana huyu anufisadi mwingi.

Falsafa ya mwandishi
Mwandishi analenga kuonyesha mkengeuko.Anamtumia Monika ambaye amekengeuka.Hafuati utamaduni na hana heshima.Kwa upande mwingine Muna amesoma lakini badao anfuata tamaduni za ndoa. Msimamo wake ni kuwa mtu akisoma bado anafaa kuwa na ustaarabu.
Nadharia
Mwandishi ametumia Nadharia kama vile Uhalisia Kwani matukio ni ya kawaida kama  vile ugomvi wa kunyumbani.Polisi kuja kwa keti na Mhaji kumtemebelea rafiki yake na Kuomba msamaha.Kuna. Ufeministi kwani Monika,Muna salama Asha na Keti ni wahusika wa kike ambao wamejikakamua maishani.Mwandishi amewatumia wahusika hawa kuonyesha jinsi wanawake wanaweza kujing’atua kutoka gereza la utamaduni.
Hitimisho
Mwandishi amefaulu kutumia mbinu kama vile dialojia na taswira kutoa maudhui.Kwa kutumia na kulinganisha Monika na Muna .Amefaulu kuonyesha athari za masomo katikaa jamii.Amejikita katika mkengeuko . Kwa kutumia nadharia ya uhalisia amefaulu kuonyesha nafasi ya ndoa katika jamii.

PLOTI
Huwa ni mtiririko wa matukio katika kitabu.Riwaya hii ina sura Kumi. Muhtasari wa sura hizo ni kama ifuatavyo;

Riwaya inapoanza tunapata Salama nyumbani kwao akiwa anawaza kuhusu Monika na jinsi amebadilika kimawazo.Anakumbuka siku alipokuwa anatoka kazi na Bi Tatu akamuomba amsomee barua ya Monika.Monika aikuwa anawaarifu wazazi wake kuwa aalikuwa amefaulu na angerejea hivi karibuni. Siku inapowadia anakaribishwa na jamaa zake waliojaa fuha lakini yeye si mwenye furaha.

Monika anarejea kutoka ulaya alikokwenda kusoma. Waliokwenda kumlaki wanaonyeshwa dharau pale uwanja wa ndege.Tunaelezwa kuhusu kesi ya Asha na Bi keti  amabapo katika Uk 29 Keti anakamatwa na polisi na kesi yao kuanza.
Monika wanazozana na keti kuhusu uji.

Uk 199 Monika anahama kwa Rashid  na kwenda kwa nyumba mypa aliyopewa ma Matata. Kuna ugomvi kati ya Matata na selemani kuhusu Monika.

Ndoa ya Hasani na Muna ambayo imejaa ugomvi inavunjika na Muna kurudi kwao.

Hasani anamuomba baba yake aende kuzungumza na wazazi wa muna anapoona Muna harudi Kwake. Baada ya kuzungumziwa na waazi wake Muna anarejea kwa mumewe na Hasani anaahidi kumtunza mke wake na kumpa uhuru wake.Ali hafurahishwi na uamuzi wa Muna lakini anakubali Shingo upande.

Kule Kazini Ali anaendelea vizuri na mafunzo yake na Alison anaahidi kumpeleka ngambo akasome zaidi.Ili aongeza maarifa katika kazi yake mpya.

Monika naye mambo yanamuendea kinyume.Matata haonekani na kuna fununu kwamba anaoa.Selemani anamueleza ukweli kuwa Matata alioa msichana wa miaka kumi na sita na anamushauri Monika arudi kwao. Selele anamusaidia kulipa kodi  na baadaye Monika anarudi kwao kwa masharti ya kutii na kusaidia pale nyumbani. Monika anarejea kwao na kuolewa na Shabani.

Selele anapanga karamu ya chakula cha mchana.Hapa walioshiriki wanazungumza jinsi maisha ya ulaya nay a Afrika yanatofautiana. Rashid anakuja na Salama,Monika na Shabani na Muna na Hasani. Ali na Sara wanapata kujuana na wazazi wanawasaidia kupanga kuoana. Riwaya inakamilka kwa ambayo iliandaliwa na Selele.



Ufisadi
Katika riwaya hii watu wanaojihusisha na mambo ya ufisadi ni Alison, Mheshimiwa.
Alison anamhonga Rashid ili apate kandarasi na wizara.
Uchunguzi wa Rashid unaochangia yeye kutwa Kazi kuna msichana ambaya anatembea katika nchi mbalimbali.Msichana huyu ana ufisadi mwingi.

Falsafa ya mwandishi
Mwandishi analenga kuonyesha mkengeuko.Anamtumia Monika ambaye amekengeuka.Hafuati utamaduni na hana heshima.Kwa upande mwingine Muna amesoma lakini badao anfuata tamaduni za ndoa. Msimamo wake ni kuwa mtu akisoma bado anafaa kuwa na ustaarabu.

Mwandishi ametumia Nadharia kama vile Uhalisia Kwani matukio ni ya kawaida kama  vile ugomvi wa kunyumbani.Polisi kuja kwa keti na Mhaji kumtemebelea rafiki yake na Kuomba msamaha.Kuna. TAMTHILIA YA KIFO KISIMANI
UTANGULIZI
Tamthilia ya Kifo Kisimani imeandikwa na kithaka wa Mberia. Toleo la kwanza la kitabu hiki ililikuwa mwaka wa 2001 na kina chapa nyingi hadi kufikia mwaka wa 2009.kimechapishwa na Marimba Publications Ltd.
Anwani
Anwani huwa ni jina la kitabu.Mwandishi amefaulu kutumia anwani’Kifo Kisimani’. Anwani hii inaashiria kifo cha Mwelusi pale kisimani alipouliwa na Gege.
Pia anwani hii inaashiria kifo cha Wanabutangi baada ya kukosa maji pale kisimani.Hii ni baada ya kanuni mpya za utekaji maji kutolewa amabazo ziliwanyima haki za kuteka maji. Maji ni uhai hivyo kupewa siku tatu za kuteka maji ni kunyimwa uhai yaani kifo.
Jalada
Jalada ni karatasi ngumu inayofunika kitabu ambapo jina la kitabu huandikwa.Katika tamthilia hii kuna picha ya mtu aliye na huzuni.Mtu huyu ni kama ako katika shimo. Hii inaashiria shimo la mateso ambalo Wanabutangi wametiwa na utawala mbaya wa Bokono na vibaraka wake.
Kuna picha inayoashiria machea.Hii inaonyesha matumaini kwa Wanabutangi baada ya Mwelusi na wenzake kuanza harakati za mabadiliko.Rangi inayotumika kwa picha ni ya udongo, kuashiria rotuba ya Butangi.

DHAMIRA YA MWANDISHI
Kiini cha jambo au habari iliyoandikwa na mwandishi.Katika Kifo Kisimani Kithaka wa Mberia ananuia kuamsha au kumchangamsha msomaji kuhusu utawala mbaya na jinsi ya kuleta mabadiliko na kuuondoa .
Mwandishi anatetea haki za walionyanyaswa.Hivyo lengo kuu la mwandishi ni kuzindua watu.
PLOTI
Huwa ni mtiririko wa matukio katika kitabu.Tamthilia hii ina onyesho kumi.Muhtasari wa onyesho hizi ni kama ifuatavyo.
Onyesho la kwanza
Mchezo unaanza asubuhi ambapo viti vimepangwa tayari kwa mkutano wa Bokono.Mwelusi ambaye ni kijan anaingia uwanjani.Mawazo yake yanadhihirika kupitia kwa sauti tunayosikia .Yanamkejeli Bokono kwa ubinafsi wake na kuwanyanyasa wanabutangi.
Kaloo anaingia uwanjani kwa kutayarisha ,anamwona Mwelusi na anadhani ni mmoja wa waliohudhuria lakini Mwelusi anamwambia alikuwa anapita tu ni mawazo yaliyomshika mguu.Kaloo anafurahi kwa kuwa Mwelusi anawaza juu ya Butangi si kama vijana wengine wanavyo waza kuhusu anasa. Mwelusi anakubaliana naye na kuongeza kuwa ni wakati wa vita. Kaloo hakubaliani naye na anamuomba amfafanulie matamshi yake. Mwelusi anamwambia kuwa atamueleza siku nyingine kwa kuwa hahudhurii mkutano na anaondoka.
Mwelusi Batu anaingia kuukagua uwanja, anafurahishwa na viti.Anapoelezwa kuwa Mbutwe seremala aliyeunda viti anadai kulipwa Batu anasema aje amwone na amdai malipo ya mbuzi wawili.
Wanawake ndio watakaocheza katika mkutanowa Bokono Mtemi wa Butangi.Batu anasema kuwa mtemi akifurahi,wanawake watafurahi.Azena anaingia uwanjani ili kumsaidia kaloo kwa matayarisho.
Batu anaapoondoka Atega anaingia akifuatwa na Mwelusi. Wanashukiwa kuwa wapenzi kwa kuwa kila mara wanaonekana pamoja.Naye kama Mwelusi, anawafahamisha hatohudhuria mkutano.Batu anaingia tena uwanjani na kuamrisha watu waitwe.Gege anaingia uwanjani huku akiwa anapuliza ala ya muziki. Batu anamwambia ni muziki wa kuvutia, yeye anasema kuwa anausifia uongozi wa busara wa Butangi. Kaloo anamhakikishai kuwa yeye na jamaa zake ni wazalendo kamili na hawatasita kuhudhuria mkutano.
Batu anawasaidia kujitayarisha jinsi watamsifia Bokono;Bokono  Bokono milele!!
Baada ya muda kidogo wanagundua kuwa watu hawaji kwa mkutano.Kaloo anaenda Mingamiwili na kurudi lakini hakuwapata watu huko pia.
Bokono anapofika anapata hakuna watu kwa uwanja anakasirika sana. Vibaraka wake wanamuahidi kuwa kuna tatizo lakini  watalinyoosha. Zigu anasema kuwa watu wamechochewa na Mwelusi.Hata hivyo Batu anasema kuwa watamkomesha anayewachochea watu.Baada ya mabo kutulia wote wanaanza kumsifia Bokono ;Utaongoza Butangi kwa miaka mia moja.

Onyesho la pili
 Matukio ni katika makazi ya Mtemi Bokono amabayo ni sehemu ya majengo ya Utawala wa Butangi.Bokono amesimama huku akiangalia vitu vilivyo ukutani na mara kwa mara anaguza hiki na kile.mkewe Nyalwe amekaa kitini raha mustarehe, akjipepea.punde Mgezi anakuja hadi alipo Nyalwe na kumuambia kuwa chakula kiko tayari.
Wanapokaa kula Bokono hali chakula ana wasiwasi sana. Nyalwe anapomuuliza ni kwa nini hali anamjibu kwa kejeli na kumuuliza juu ya vyeo vyake;mke, mwndani  na msiri wake.
Nyalwe anamueleza Bokono kuhusu ndoto yake .Bokono anakubali kuwa ana hofu ya kunyang’anywa utawala.Nyalwe anamuomba abadilishe mienendo yake na anamuonya dhidi ya vibaraka wake wanoandanganya kuwa anapendwa na Wanabutangi.
Bokono anapiga nduru kuwa amamwona nyoka ,anasema ameumwa na bafe lakini wanagundua kuwa hamna nyoka mle ndani ni hofu tu ya Bokono.
Nyalwe anampa Bokono habari kuhusu kijiji cha Mama Agoro ambao wangependa kuwagawia huzuni.Hii ni baada ya uwanja wao wa watoto kuchezea umepewa Askari mkuu.Mama Agoro aliahidi kuridi tena na tena kutetea haki yao.

Onyesho la tatu
Onyeshao hili ni katika gereza. Gereza ni chumba chenye kidirisha kimoja, kuta na sakafu chafu.
Tunaonyeshwa mateso na dhuluma kwa Mwelusi kutoka kwa Mweke na Talui.
Wanaanza kwa kumita mtukufu mtemi anaponyamaza wanazidi kunchapa na kumsukuma hapa na pale.
Mwelusi analalamika kuwa taya zake zinawaka moto kwani waliodai wamekuja kuzungumza naye wanafanya hivyo kwa mateke na makofi.
Wanamhoji Mwelusi na kumuuliza kama yeye ni mwelisi wa Biuki na kama anatoka kijiji cha Bunyanya na ukoo wa langile.Anapojibu wanamsifu kuwa yeye ni muungwana na ni kiongozi mzuri sana wa Butangi.
Wanamuuliza kama yeye ndiye kiongozi wa kundi la kabakaba.Wanazidi kumchapa ili aliri kuwa anahusika na shughuli za ukombozi lakini  Mwelusi anakataa wanazidi kumachapa.
Batu anaingia na kuwakataza kumchapa, anaomba nafasi azungumze na Mwelusi.
Kwa upole anamshawishi Mwelusi akiri kuwa kiongozi wa wanamapinduzi na aombe msama kwa Mtemi Bokono.
Mwelusi anapolia juu ya maumivu Batu anamwambia kuwa atapewa dawa nzuri akitoka gerezani baada ya kuomba msamaha.Batu anamuacha mwelusi peke yake kwani anadai kuwa akili ya binadamu hufanya kazi vizuri akiwa peke yake. Anaporudi na kupata welusi hajafanya uamuzi .
Antaka akiri kwamba anatumiwa na majirani ili kuchafua Butangi. Anapotataa Btu anamwambia kuwa amepotoshwa . Batu anatoa ishara kwa Askari na kuondoka.
Sura ya nne
Onyesho hili linatokea mbele ya gereza.Andua amemletea ndugu yake chakula.Askari wanamkataza kumuona na Askari 111 anajaribu kumdhurumu.Askari wanapanga kula chakula cha mfungwa  lakini askari 1 anawakataza na kuwaomba wampe mfunwa chakula chake.anawaambia wenzake kuwa ni walafi.wanazungumza kuhusu utawala wa mtemi Bokono kama utafikia kilele au la.
Askari 11 anaeleza jinsi walijaribu kumgeuza mhutumiwa Fulani aache kuwa jiwe awe binadamu.Walimng’oa kucha za mkono na za miguu, walimgeuza kuwa popo na baadaye walifika katikati ya miguu yake na kupiga kambi hapo.badaye walimuua na kumzika msituni.
Onyesho la tano.
Onyesho hili ni nyumbani kwa Tanyauani.Tanya ameketi akidondoa nafaka katika uteo.Kwenye sehemu nyingine ya ua Gege amekaakaribu na uzio akiukaguakagua.punde anauachilia na kuanza kujishughulisha  na utengenezaji wa ala ya muziki.
Mamake anamuuliza kwa nini hajaenda kumtizama nduguye, Mwelusi kule gerezani.Gege anwambia mamayake asimzomee.Anaendelea kutengeneza ala na kusema kuwa wasichana watamtambua .
Katika kumbukumbu zake Mwelusi anarejea na kumuuliza hali ya uwnaja wa ngoma. Wazungumza  kuhusu hali ya wanabutangi.Gege anamshuritisha nduguye kwa kujali jamii kila mara na kusahau maisha yake mwenyewe. Mwelusi anamuomba aieonee huruma Butangi na awe mzalendao.
Andua anarejea nyumbani kutoka kisimani.Anajeraha upande mmoja wa uso wake.Anamueleza mam yake kuwa hakupigana mbali amechapwa na Askari.
Azena anawatemebelea na kumtuliza Tanay juu ya mwanawe.Anamuomba asife moyo na azidi kumpelekea chakula.
Onyesho la sita
Onyesho hili  ni nje ya gereza pia. Tanya amamletea Mwelusi chakula na pia anataka kuonana naye.Askari wanchukua chakula na kuahidi kuwa watampelekea. Tanya anapowaomba Askari kumwona mwanawe Askari 11 na 111 wanamkazata. Askari 1 anamuhurumia Tanya na kuwaomba wenzake wamkubalie mama huyo kumwona mwanawe.
Baadaye Atega analeta chakula zaidi cha mfungwa pamoja na tembo.Askari wanakula chakula hiki na Kumuomba askari 1 ampelekee rafiki yake mkate wa wishwa.
Askari 1 anawahadithia juu ya Makea na ulevi wake.Muda huu wote Mwelusi amekuwa akikata minyororo kwa tupa.
Baadaye askari 111 napoenda kuchungulia anamwona na kumwita mwenzake atazame pia.Muda kidogo wanasikia umati wa watu .askari wote wanapotea Mwelusi anafunguliw gereza na kupotea.

Onyesho la saba
 Matukio ya onyesho hili ni katika ukumbi wa utawala wa Butangi.Kuna mkutano kati ya Bokono na vibaraka wake.Lengo la mkutano huu ni kupata suluhu la Mwelusi na uchochezi wake.
Kame anasema wamuachilie lakini batu anasema hawawezi kumwachilia mhuni.Maoni yake ni kuwa Mwelusi anafaa kuuliwa.Batu anasema kuwa wawandanganye watu kuwa Mwelusi amkufa juu ya ugonjwa wa moyo au aachiliwe kasha njiani apigwe pembe na nyati.Kame anpinga wazo la kumwaga damu ya binadamu.
Askari 11 naingia na kuwaarifu kuwa Mwelusi amatoroka gerezani.anapoomba msamaha Batu anamuonya kuwa lazima wamtafute Mwelusi na waijaribu kutoroka kutoka Butangi.
Bokono anajiunga nao na anaposikia habari za kutoroka kwa Mwelusi anakasirika na anawaomba wampe heshima yake. Baadaya anawaomba vibaraka wake au wazee wamtafute na kumuua.
Batu anatumia Mweke na Talui kumshawishi Gege.Anamwambia amlete pale na kumshawishi.Mweke na Talui wanafanya walivyo ambiwa na Kumwahidi Gege ndoa na Alida baada ya kumuua Mwelusi.Wanajifanya wao ni wavuvi wawili na kuhadithi juu ya ndoa ya Gege na Alida.
Onyesho la nane
Onyesho ni uani kwa Tanya.Tanya anajishughulisha na kazi za nyumbani.Batu anaingia na kumsalimu.Baada yakuamkiana batu anamwambia kuwa amakuja kwa ziara ya kirafiki. Sitiari ya  kozi na njiwa inatolewa na Tanya.Batu anaulizia kuhusu Mwelusi .Hii ndio sababu yake kuja kwa Tanya.
Azena anaingia huku akitembea kwa shida.Anasema jinsi walivyovamiwa na mali yao yote kuchomwa.Batu anasema kuwa ni majirani wao waliowavamia lakini azena anasema kuwa ni uongo walivamiwa na wahini wa kulipwa na kina Batu.
Tanya na Azena wanajikumbusha nyimbo walizomuimbia Bokono.
Mwelusi ana Atega wanatokea na kwa kutumia shingo Tanya anawaelekeza watoroke.Baada ya Batu kutoweka Mwelusi anaeleza mama yake alivyookolewa na umati.
Askari wanakuja kwa fujo lakini Mwelusi na Atega wanfaulu kutoroka.
Kame anakuja pia na kufikia sasa Tanya anamkejeli kuwa utawala wa Butangi umemtembelea imebaki Bokono Mwenyewe.Kame anawaeleza kuwa nyoyo zao ziko pamoja nay eye ni mmoja wa wanamapindizi.Wote wanaondoka kuelekea kisima cha mkomani aliko Andua na wanamapinduzi wengine.

Onyesho la tisa
Matukio ya onyesho hili ni kisima cha Mkomani.Ni asubuhi na zigu amesimama huku macho yake yakilikagua bonde.Kaloo anatokea na anapofika karibu na zigu zigu anashtuka.zigu anamuulizia  kaloo kuhusu maoni ya wanakijiji wnzake juu ya  kannuni mpya zilizotangazwa.Anasema kuwa kanuni zote za Butangi ni za busara.
Kaloo anamtuma zigu amshukuru Bokono Kaloo anamtuma zigu amshukuruBokono kwa ajili ya kazi aliyoamuru mototo wake apewe.kaloo  hajali juu ya Butangi yeye anataka awe na uhusiano na Bokono ili apate mali zaidi.Kaloo anaambiwa kuwa ni vyema aende akamshukuru mwenyewe kwani hivi karibuni Bokona amekuwa akimtaja mara kwa mara.
Andua anapokuta kuteka maji zigu anamkataza na kumueleza kuhusu kanuni.baadaye Mwelusi na Atega wanatokea lakini Zigu hawatambui.Anawazungumzia kuhusu Mwelusi aliye gerezani.Zigu ako tayari kutetea kanuni za Butangi hata kwa silaha.
Baadaye Gege anakuja na kumdanganya Mwelusi kuwa ametumwa na mama yao Tanya huku akilia , ni ujumbe muhimu ambazo babayao alimwachia. Wanaenda chemba  na Gege anamuua.Kame anafika amechelewa na wote wankimbia chemba baada kusikia sauti yenye huzuni.

Onyesho la kumi
Matukio ya onyesho hili ni katika Ukumbi wa Utawala wa Butangi.Kiti cha mtemi kiko mahali pake,lakini ni kitupu.Batu ymo ukumbini.Punde Mweke anaingia na baadaye Gege. Wakati Gege anadai malipo yake Baada ya kumuua Mwelusi ndio anagundua kuwa alidanganywa.Batu anamwahidi kuwa atapata zawadi ya ardhi.Bokono anapoingia anamwahidi kuwa atapewa jina Mkuki wa Almasi.
Nyalwe anaingia kwa wasiwasi na kuwaonya  kuwa umati wa watu unakuja.wanampuuza.Hata hivyo wanashangaa kuwa Mweke hajaleta habari zozote na Zigu pia hakuweko.
Azena anaingia ukumbini kama ameinua panga.Kisha askari1,Kame na Atega.Atega anamtetea nyalwe asifungwe kwani alikuwa kamwe anatetea Wanabutangi.Wanawafunga Bokono, Batu,Gege na kuwatoa nje .Watu wanasherekea ukombozi wao.

WAHUSIKA
Wahusika ni binadamu wa kawaida na wanaendeleza shughuli za kawaida za kila siku za binadamu.
Mhusika mkuu ni Mwelusi .Ni kiongozi katika shughuli za ukombozi wa butangi.Anafungwa katika jela na kuteswa sana.(uk 21) onyesho la tatu.
Gege  ni nduguye Mwelusi yeye anaendleza maudhui ya ubinafsi.Hana utu,ni msaliti na pia muuaji kwani alimmuua Mwelusi pale kisimani.
Bokono ni kiongozi mbaya mwenye udikteta.Ananyanyasa na kukandamiza Wanabutangi.Anawanyima wanabutangi haki zao Kupitia vibara wake Batu na Zigu.Viongozi hawa ni wakatili,hawana utu. Wanamdanganya Bokono kwamba anapendwa lakini huo ni unafiki wao.
Tanya na Azena ni wanawake wanao tetea haki za wanabutangi.Tanya ni Mamake mwelusi na nimkakamavu anazozana na Batu na habadilish msimamo wake.Uk 76 onyesho la nane.
Atega na Andua  ni wasichana ambao wanashiriki katika ukombozi ni wakamavu, wana ujasiri na pia ni wenye nidhamu hasa Atega kwa kuwapa askari tembo na kumpelekea Mwelusi tupa.Hawa ni wahusika wasaidizi.
Kuna wahusika wengi kama vile Askari 11 na 111ambao wanaendeleza maudhui ya ukatili na dhuluma pamoja na Mweke na Talui.
Kame  na Askari 1  ni wenye utu na wamezinduka na kushiriki katika ukombozi.
Kaloo ni kibaraka wa Mtemi Bokono.Yeye hajazinduka.Ni mwenye ubinafsi na anamtetea mwanawe.Ni mfisadi

MANTHARI
Ni mahali au mazingira yanayotumika katika kitabu. Mazingira ya kawaida yametumika katika tamthilia hii.Kuna mazingira ya kinyumbani kama vile Kwa Tanya, Nyumbani kwa Bokono uk 12 onyesho la pili.Kuna mazingira ya  uwanjani, kisimani na gereza.

MBINU ZA UANDISHI NA ZA LUGHA
Kejeli uk 21 Mweke na Talui wanawita Mwelusi Mtukufu Mtemi.Hii ni kejeli kwani Mwelusi si mtemi mbali ni kiongozi wa ukombozi.Kejeli inasaidia kuendeleza maudhui ya dhuluma.
Matumizi ya Ndoto uk 14 Nyalwe mkewe Bokono antuhadithia jinsi usiku mmewe alikuwa akiota na kusema watu wamtoe kaburini. Ndoto hii inaonyesha hofu ya Bokono kutokana na utawa wake ambao ni mbaya.Ndoto hii inaendeleza maudhui ya Hofu na utamaushi.

Kuna Nyimbo uk 81Azena na Tanya wanakumbuka nyimbo za kumsifia Bokono. Wimbo huu unaonyesha Bokono kama kiongozi bora asiye na kasoro.Wanabutangi waliimuinua Bokono karibu na mungu.Maudhui yake ni ya uongozi wa kidkteta.
Kuna matumizi ya Taswira.Hizi ni picha zinazojengeka katika akili ya msomaji.Mwandishi ametumia taswira mbalimbali kama vile gereza.Uk 21 gereza imechorwa kama mahali penye kidirisha kimoja ,kuta na sakafu chafu. Picha hii inasaidia kuendeleza maudhui ya dhuluma na kunyimwa haki kwa mfungwa.
Takriri imetumika uk 6 ambapo Kaloo, Azena na Gege wanakariri Bokono Bokono Milele mara kadhaa.Hii inasaidia kumpa Bokono matumaini ya kuwa anapendwa.Huu ni Unafiki.Kuna takrir pia katika kurasa zifuatazo uk 8,11,14

Tashhisi  imetumika katika ukurasa wa kwanza ambapo sauti inasema kuwa jua lina bahati,jua lina uwezo uwezo mkubwa. Andua anaambiwa na Askari asipoondoka atatemebelewa na makofi.Hii ni dhuluma.
Tashbihi ni ulinganisho wa moja kwa moja wa vitu au watu na wanyama. Mfano uk71Alida bintiye mtemi ana shingo ya upanga.Hii ni kusaidia kumshawishi Gege na maelezo haya yanaendeleza unafiki kwani ndoa anayoahidiwa na hurulaini haipo. Jazanda ni picha inayomwingia mtu akilini na kuilinganisha na hali ya kawaida.Mfano uk 61 Batu anaashiriwa kama macho na masikio ya Butangi, uk64 mwelusi ni mwiba wa Butangi.Hii ni tofauti na jukumu lake la kuleta mabadiliko katika utawala wa Butangi lakini si kuzuuia maendeleo.
Methali mfano uk55 Batu anasema kuwa dawa ya moto ni moto. Hii ni katika hatua aliyochukua ya kutumia watu kuvamia kina Azena.Huu ni ukatili wa kiwango cha juu. Methali pia zimetumika katika kurasa zifuatazo 16,52,39,102 na kadhalika

Chuku ni kutia chumvi au kuongeza sifa ili jambo au kitu kiwe cha kuvutia. Mfano uk 71 Maelezo ya Alida yametiwa chumvi ili kumvutia Gege.

Chuku pia imetumika katika kurasa zifuatazo 30,72,56  na kadhalika.
Semi uk27 Mwelusi anasema koo lake liko motoni.Hii ni baada ya kichapo na mateso anayopata gerezani.Semi hii imetumika kuonyesha dhuluma na mateso kwa Mwelusi. Askari 11 anaeleza jinsi walijaribu kumgeuza mhutumiwa Fulani aache kuwa jiwe awe binadamu.Walimng’oa kucha za mkono na za miguu, walimgeuza kuwa popo na baadaye walifika katikati ya miguu yake na kupiga kambi hapo.Inamaanisha kuwa walimvuta na kumkata na kumdhulumu sehemu zake za siri.
Semi pia zimetumika katika kurasa zifuatazo 15.27,37 na kadhalika

Uongozi Mbaya
 Mtemi wa Butangi Bokono pamoja na vibaraka wake Batu na Zigu wanaendeleza maudhui ya uongozi mbaya. Wanamfanya Mwelusi kukamatwa na kufungwa gerezani bila makosa yoyote amabayo wanaweza kuthibitisha.
Katika Mkutano batu anaeleza jinsi walichoma kijiji cha Kina Azena na kusema mfumo wake wa uongoni ni dawa ya moto ni moto.
Kwa kuwa Mwelusi anatetea haki za wanyonge Bokono anamwita mwiba. Hii ni kwa sababu  anazuia yeye na vibaraka wake kujichumia mali. Mwishowe wanamtumia Gege kumuua.
Wanaamua kuwanyima Wanabutangi haki ya kuteka maji pale kisimani. Mtemi anauliza kamawamewatangazia watu kuhusu kanuni mpya ya kuteka maji kisima cha Mkuyuni  kuwa ni siku tatu kwa wiki.
 Dhuluma Na Mateso
 Askari 11 anaeleza jinsi walijaribu kumgeuza mhutumiwa Fulani aache kuwa jiwe awe binadamu.Walimng’oa kucha za mkono na za miguu, walimgeuza kuwa popo na baadaye walifika katikati ya miguu yake na kupiga kambi hapo.badaye walimuua na kumzika msituni.uk 43

Askari wa Butangi kulingana na Tanya si wa kulinda mbali ni wa kuleta mateso na kuwachapa Wana butnagi. Tanya anasema kuwa juzi walimngoa motto wa Chendeke meno.
Uk 24 Mweke na Talui wanapokuja kuzungumza na Mwelusi wanafanya hivyo kwa makofi na mateka.Mwelusi anasema kuwa taya zake zinawaka moto.
Batu anajaribu kuukinga uongozi wa Bokono na amamuomba mwelusi kuacha uchochezi na kuomba msamaha.Mwelusi anapokataa kukiri kwamba anatumiwa na majirani ili kuchafua Butangi. Anapotataa Batu anamwambia kuwa amepotoshwa . Batu anatoa ishara kwa Askari na kuondoka. Yeye anawpa ruhusa Askari wamtese mwelusi badala ya kumlinda.uk 36

Tunauona ubinafsi wa Gege .Uk wa 95 Gege anamuua Mwelusi nduguye ili apate kuozwa Alida bintiye Mtemi. Uk 17 anamuambia Mwelusi ajali maisha yake aachane na jamii. Gege hajali maisha ya wnabutangi wengine anajijali yeye mwenyewe.
Uk 89 Kaloo anamtuma zigu kwa Bokono amshukuru kwa ajili ya kazi aliyoamuru mototo wake apewe.kaloo pia hajali juu ya Butangi yeye anataka awe na uhusiano na Bokono ili apate mali zaidi.

Watu hawa wanapinga utawala wa Mtemi Bokono na vibaraka wake.
Wakati Mwelusi amefungwa gerezani Atega anamletea mkate wa wishwa ukiwa na tupa ambayo anatumia kukata minyororo na kujikomboa. Baadaye umati wa watu wanakuja na kumsaidia kufungua gereza na kujikomboa.uk 59
Kwa Uongozi wa Mwelusi wanaendelea kutetea haki zao.Mfano Andua anaenda kisimani kuteka maji.
Hata baada ya mwelusi kuuliwa na Gege wanamapinduzi hawa wanaendelea na harakati zao za ukombozi. Uk 105
Kitabu kinaisha kama Bokono,Batu,Zigu , Mweke na Gege wamefungwa kamba baada ya kufumaniwa na Waandamanaji.Hivyo wanaukombozi wanafaulu kukomboa Butangi kutokana na utawala Mbaya.
Mwelusi anadaiwa kuwa  yeye ndiye kiongozi wa kundi la kabakaba. Anahusika na shughuli za ukombozi.Ni yeye kiongozi wa kundi hili la wanamapinduzi.

 Gege anamsaliti kakake, Mwelusi kwa Kumuua pale Kisimani. Uk 95 Gege anamdanganya Mwelusi kuwa ametumwa na mama yao Tanya huku akilia , ni ujumbe muhimu ambazo babayao alimwachia. Wanaenda chemba  na Gege anamuua.
Viongozi wa Butangi ikiwemo Batu na Zigu wanawasaliti kwa kuwanyima haki zao na kuwatesa.

Kame Askari 1 ni wenye utu wanamtetea Mwelusi.
Uk 60 wakati Batu na zigu wanataka kumuua Mwelusi Kama anasema wamuachiliea kwa kuwa hana makosa yoyote.
Uk 35 Tanya anapowaomba Askari kumwona mwanawe Askari 11 na 111 wanamkazata. Askari 1 anamuhurumia Tanya na kuwaomba wenzake wamkubalie mama huyo kumwona mwanawe.
Hawa wawili paoja na wengine kama vile Azena na Atega ni wenye utu miongoni mwa wanabutangi wengi ambao wana unyama kama vile Batu.
Askari wanapanga kula chakula cha mfungwa lakini Askari 1 anawakataza na kuwaomba wampe mfunwa chakula chake.uk 37

Uk 25 Mweke na Talui wanamhadithia Gege jinsi harusi yake na Alida itakavyokuwa. Wanamwambia Gege amuue Nduguye Mwelusi na atapewa mali pamoja na kuoa mtotot wa Mtemi Bokono.
Wakati Gege anaenda kudai malipo yake Baada ya kumuua Mwelusi ndio anagundua kuwa alidanganywa.Talui na Mweke ni wanafiki walijua kuwa wanamdanganya Gege ili awasidie tu kumumaliza Mwelusi.
Batu anapomtemebelea Mwelusi gerezani anamwambi a kuwa ni rafiki yake na kumuomba ajiunge naye katika kuitumikia Butnangi.Huu ni unafiki kwani kabla ya hapo alipokuwa kwenye mkutano na Zigu na Kame alpanga jinsi watakavyo muua.
Uk 79  Batu anapomtembelea Tanya anamwita rafiki yake tangu ujana wao.huu ni unafiki kwani Batu yuko pale kumtafuta Mwelusi.

  Kabla mkutano uanze Mwelusi anafika pale na kudai kuwa anapita.Hata hivyo nia yake wakiwa na Atega ni kuwachochea watu wasuhudhurie mkutano wa Mtemi Bokono.Uk 1
Uk wa 9 Zigu anasema kuwa kuna fununu ya kuwa kuna kijana anayechochea watu.Kijana huyu ni Mwelusi.
Uk 90 Zigu anamwambia Kaloo kwamba Bokono amekuwa akimtaja mara kwa mara.Zigu ananchochea Kaloo aonane na Bokono na kumpa shukrani yeye mwenye kwa kazi ambayo Bokono alamuru motto wa Kaloo apewe.

FALSAFA YA MWANDISHI
Mwandishi analenga kuzindua wananchi kuhusu utawala mbaya.Anatetea haki za walionyanyaswa na kukandamizwa. Anashikila kuwa kuna uwezo wa kujikomboa kutoka kwa uongozi mbaya .Hii ni kupitia kwa watu kuungana na kuandama na kutetea haki zao na kubadilisha uongozi mbaya ,pamoja na kuwafungaviongozi wabaya.
Falsafa ya Kithaka ni haki na hukumu kwa wenye makosa.
NADHARIA
Mwandishi ametumia Nadharia kama vile Umaksi.Katika Butangi wenye mali wananyanyasa wasio na mali.Kuna Ufeministi kwani Atega ,Andua Tanya na Azena ni wahusika wa kike wanaoshiriki katika ukombozi.Kuna Uhalisia Kwani matukio ni ya kawaida kam vile uongozi mbaya na kunyimwa haki katika maisha ya kila siku. Kuna Utamaushi kwani wanabutangi wamekata tama.Mfano Tanya anamtaka Mwelusi aondoke Butangi
HITIMISHO
Mwandishi amefaulu kutumia mbinu na kutoa maudhui kwa kutumia nadharia. Kithaka anatetea haki kwa wenye Kunyanyaswa na hukumu kwa wenye makosa.Amewatumia wahusika wa kawaida kuutoa ujumbe wake.
Kuna udhaifu katika anwani kwani sio wahusika wote wanaathiriwa na kifo kisimani.Kitabu kimeshughulikia zaidi ya kifo.

Utenzi huu kwa kiasi kikubwa unahusiana na tamthilia ya Kifo Kisimani, inayomhusu Mwelusi anayepinga utawala dhalimu wa Mtemi Bokono. Anachukiwa na Bokono pamoja na vibaraka wake kwa hofu kuwa atauangusha utawala huo.Anatiwa gerezani lakini anatoroka baada ya kukata minyororo kwa tupa iliyotiwa ndani ya mkate wa wishwa alioletewa na Atega. Bokono anamtumia nduguye Mwelusi,  Gege kumuua kwa kumdunga kisu pale kisimani. Gege vilevile anaahidiwa na Mweke wakiwa na Talui kuwa ataozwa bintiye mtemi.Alida.

Hata hivyo kuna tofauti nyingi kati ya tungo hizi mbili. Fumo Liyongo ni mhusika wa kihistoria, aliishi baina ya karne 15 na 16.Mwelusi naye ni mhusika wa kubuni.Fumo alikuwa na sifa za kiajabu kama vile nguvu zilizokithiri, mpiganaji hodari aliyeshinda vita vingi, ukubwa uliopita kiasi na uwezo wa kutambua mabo kabla hayajiri.Mwelusi hana sifa kaa hizi zinazomtambuliasha kama mhusika wa kipekee.Vita anavyopigana si vya silaha bali anapinga dhuluma na mateso kwa Wanabutangi.

God's Will

God's Will
Genesis 12:1-2The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;

I will make your name great and you will be a blessing. God calls out Abram from his father’s land to lead him to a place He will show him. As he does so, God reveals to Abram His will over Abrams life.

- He will make him into a great nation.
- His will is to bless him.
- His will is to make Abrams name great. So he can be a blessing to others.
- To bless those who bless him and to curse those who curse him.
- Gods will was that through Abram the nations of the earth would be blessed.

God has a will for you and I and just like with Abram He wants to bless us. He tells us that in Jeremiah 29:11. Why was God doing all this for Abram? So that a nation would be birthed and the nations of the earth would be blessed.

God wants to bless you but not just for you, there is a reason and the reason is so that others will be blessed. Gods will for you involves others it’s not just about you.

Now Gods promises to Abram Sounds good and encouraging but there is one major issue,Gods promises are pegged on a son that Abram does not have. Many times Gods will is pegged on what you do not have or situations that seem impossible.

Many times we look at situations and say well it did not work out so I guess it was not Gods will for it to happen. What if Sarai had said well I am barren I guess it is not Gods will for me to have children, would that have been true?

In chapter 15 God and Abram are having a conversation and Abram is asking God “what can you give me since I am childless and the heir to my house is Eleazer of Damascus.” A slave.

God takes Abram outside and asks him if he Can count the stars in the sky, if he can the. His off springs will be that many. What do you think went through Abrams mind every time he took an evening walk and he gazed up into the sky?

He was reminded of Gods promise over his life. What picture has God painted for you regarding his will for your life? What have you done with it? Have you hang it somewhere on the wall of your mind as a constant reminder of where God is taking you or have you discarded it as wishful thinking.

What are you constantly looking at and talking about? The reality on the ground or the picture that God has painted for you?

Practical Application
What is Gods will for your life? Do you know it? If not ask Him to paint a picture for you.

peace within the storm

Embrace the challenge and speak life into it. Keep your fear to yourself but share your courage with others.

Acts 20:8-10
There were many lamps in the room upstairs where we were assembled, and a young man named Eutychus was sitting on a window sill and sank into a deep sleep as Paul kept on speaking. When he was overcome by sleep he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead. But Paul went down and threw himself on him, embraced him and said, “Don’t be alarmed for his life is in him!”
Wow! Can you imagine, there you are preaching and the anointing is so strong people don’t want to go home so the meeting is extended into the middle of the night and then someone falls from the third floor and dies.

Panic, worry and regret is what I would probably go through. Why did I extend the meeting? Why had I not quit when I had the chance? I must have missed God on this one…

These are some of the thoughts that would be going through my mind but not Paul. He is calm and he takes over the situation telling the congregation not to worry all is well.

Talk about peace within the storm. Like Paul have you ever been in that situation where you know that God has called you to be there doing what you are doing and then out of nowhere… bam… unexpected challenges appear leaving you in doubt whether you are in Gods will.

What do you do when you face unexpected challenges right in the middle of Gods will? Do you cringe and shrivel up in fear or do you rise up in faith?Paul embraces the challenge and boldly takes authority to speak peace and life into the situation.

He did not succumb to fear nor get into a blame game like many people would do. As God opens doors for you expect challenges and adversaries from unexpected quarters like someone falling to his death right in the middle of the sermon.

Though the devil brought it for destruction and confusion, arise in faith and turn the disaster into a demonstration of the kind of power the God you are preaching about has.

Can you imagine the kind of impact this episode had on the whole community. I am sure they spoke of it for days to come. When the challenge comes, do not hesitate embrace it immediately and speak life into it, God is simply providing you an opportunity to bring to life what you believe.

Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow

Has someone ever done something good for you? Better yet, has a stranger or someone you hardly know that well ever done something good for you, something that was unexpected?

Do you remember that good warm feeling that you felt on the inside? That god feeling that probably brought tears of joy to your eyes? That’s a nice feeling.

Think about this do you realize that you have the power give someone that kind of feeling today? All it takes if for you to go out of your way and do something unexpectedly nice to someone.

The bible tells us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. I sometimes wonder if we really believe that because if we really did then we would be scrambling for and trying to outdo each other in the area of giving.

I have realized that I am not on this earth for myself; I am here to make someone’s life better. My focus in life should not be on myself and how much I can amass for myself but I should seek to make others lives better.

Everywhere Jesus went, he always made someone’s life better. Think about this: pressure… discouragement… stress… fear…

All this are focused on me and self. We never assume someone’s pressure of fear. This happens when I focus on me myself and i. The root word for miserable is miser.

Misers are miserable because they have no time for others and they are not willing to share their resources. Now I know that I cannot make the whole world better but I can make one life better.

If you have the power in your hand to do good, then do not withhold it. This is the purpose of prosperity. Don’t be like the Dead Sea, receiving and not making another life better.

If we as a church are not making lives better then we need to close our doors because we are not fulfilling our purpose. Today God will bring opportunities your way to do something worthwhile for someone else; it may even be a stranger.

If you and I are too focused on me and I then we will miss it. Let us not withhold doing good especially if it is in our power to do so. Stop taking about it, stop thinking about it, do something today to make another life better.

Proverbs 3:27-28
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"— when you now have it with you. 

Adapt, Learn, Become _Stop If only

If Only
If only I was born in a rich family, my life would have been better……. If only I had better education things would be different……If only I had better opportunities, then I would do something great with my life….

If only…..if only….. What is the “If only” that is holding you back from becoming the great man or woman that God has called you to be? What excuses are you always pulling out of your bag?

The truth is I have no control or say in how my story begins, but how it ends is up to me. I don’t choose what family or economic condition I am born in.

I have no say about which race or tribe I will be born in or when I will be born for that matter. But once I am here then I sure do have something to say about my destination.

We are introduced to Daniel, his circumstances are not that encouraging. Israel has just been conquered by its enemies and they have been taken in as slaves. This is bad……very bad, but in the midst of all this, there are opportunities.

Daniel is among a group picked to be trained in the language, ways and writings of the Babylonians. Can you imagine being forced to learn new ways? Most of which I would assume are contrary to the ways of God that Israel has been observing?

Well that was the opportunity…doesn't seem like much, but there it was. What was Daniel going to do with it? If only I was not a slave, my life would be better.

If only I was back in Israel.. If only I was in a God fearing environment then I would serve God better… If only I was not furnished with the kings delicacies then I would not defile myself……

Never once do I read of Daniel playing the if only card. Instead he adapts and learns the ways and systems of his captors so much so that he becomes the very best. That tells me he was a hard worker, a scholar, he understood things.

Despite the negative situation he found himself in, a situation in which he had no say, he had a big say in his destination. He was able to adapt learn and become.

He changed his situation and in the midst of all this he kept his faith so much so that he was willing to die for it and God blessed him.

You may not have a say in how or where you begin, but you have a say in where you end up so get rid of all excuses and ask God to show you the opportunities that lie waiting in the midst of the harsh circumstances you find yourself in Today.

Tower Between My Legs


Each boy was being called by name to get into the mud, grass roofed hut by the river bed. The voice that was calling was deep and angry.
The boy who answered was asked to get in followed by a man who was escorting him. Micah, my cousin was chosen for me. He was going to make me stand strong.
When a boy answered, he was asked to follow his escort.
“Franjethi !!”
At this time, correct pronunciation of the name was not important; it was my turn to get in. I was almost naked among men. Some who were brave and 37 0thers like me who were trying to be brave. I followed Micah into the room. He knew where to stand.
One man was standing near a small table at the left side of the door. There were surgery knives, spirit, medicine, cotton wool, syringe and needles on a table. The hut was dark with one small window opposite the table. Some liquid was shining beneath a metallic bench near the three legged stool. Three other men who were tall, dark and strong were standing behind the metallic bench in the middle of the room. At the center of the room there was a three legged stool
“Ruta thurwari”
The man said in a deeper voice. My big pair of shorts fell on the ground before he could say anything else.  I made two steps out of my shorts.  I was totally naked in a hut with five men. I wanted to be a man like most of my age mates. I enjoyed the early morning walk, the gifts that came before hand including one big short from my mother, a pair of jeans, belt and rebook  sport shoes. My father gave me enough threats,
“My son ,do not be then one shedding tears ”
“I have never cried in front of my enemies”
“These are not your enemies; these are your bridge into adulthood.”
“I will respect them father”
“If you scream that is disrespect to them. If you disrespect other people it means I did not teach you well. It means that you disrespect me. The punishment for disrespect has been getting your own food. You cannot bite the hand that feeds you.”
“Father I will not fail you”
I stood there facing the man who was busy mixing some liquids in the syringe. The man was short like my father. However his voice was too loud when he commanded me
“Rora nakuu”
I turned and faced the three men that I dreaded.
“I was going to be circumcised by three men?”  I wished my trembling lips could ask.

The circumciser finished stitching and wiped my tower. He went back to shelves. The three masculine men walked out without saying any word. For a break I guess after I had drowned their strength with my struggles. Micah was given cotton wool and spirit. I had already received my manhood. The deep voice of the circumciser,
