Gods Provision

Gods Provision

Joel 2:15-19 King James Version (KJV)

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

The Fable of Porcupine (worth reading)

The Fable of Porcupine (worth reading)
********

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold.
.
The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm.
.
This way they covered & protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions.
.
After a while, they decided to distance themselves one from the other & they began to die, alone & frozen.
.
So they had to make a choice...
.
Either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together.
.
They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the warmth & heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive.
.
The best couples, best friends, best colleagues are not the one that bring together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others & can admire the other person's good qualities.
.
Better to be surrounded by warm pokes than be frozen in solitude.

Stay blessed and United.

The Brokenhearted

Psalm 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. A breaking point creates an opening for God to grab hold to a heart that was before walled shut. There's a tendency to put idols in the space that should be reserved only for Him. Healing from a wounded heart often pushes us to search our heart for breaks, tears, and places where we might have missed it. Other times a broken heart is caused at no fault of our own, but by someone who we love. In this case, God trains us to forgive and free our hearts from the bondage of bitterness. Give your wounds to God. He alone has the power to rescue, renew, and restore a heart to fullness of joy.
